Bethany Worrall, PGPA Team Administrator

Bethany Worrall is a Team Administrator at PGPA, reporting to the Head of HR and based at our HQ Offices.

After finishing school, Beth pursued A-levels in Art & Design – Interactive Media at Calderdale College. She was later accepted into university to study Photography but made the difficult decision to leave after her first year due to changes in personal circumstances. Determined to continue learning, Beth taught herself photography and digital skills in her free time while working part-time jobs.

Beth joined PGPA in 2021 as a Care Coordinator within Central PCN. In July 2023, she transitioned to the HQ team, taking on the role of Team Administrator. Not long after starting in this new role, she was offered the opportunity to enrol in a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship – an offer she eagerly accepted. For Beth, it was the perfect next step to build her confidence, expand her skills, and lay the groundwork for future career progression.

The apprenticeship, equivalent to A-levels, also incorporated the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) assessment. This allowed Beth to achieve Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) status, giving her access to a structured CPD journey toward becoming a Chartered Manager.

In her day-to-day work, Beth supports a range of administrative functions including HR queries and support, maintaining and improving processes, report building and record management. A major highlight of her apprenticeship was leading a six-month project to scope and launch a new HR platform, BambooHR. The project gave her valuable experience in systems implementation, project planning, and process optimisation – with praise and compliments from across the PGPA team.

Balancing full-time work, study, and parenthood wasn’t without its challenges. As a mum to two young boys, aged 9 and 5, Beth had to manage her time meticulously to meet deadlines and maintain her performance at work. In addition, living with ADHD meant that she often had to work harder to stay focused and manage tasks effectively. Through careful planning, setting strict deadlines, and leaning on the support of colleagues, Beth was able to succeed.

She credits her team—particularly colleagues Natalie and Jen—for their continuous support and encouragement throughout the apprenticeship. Her line manager Vicky also played a significant role, helping her overcome a fear of public speaking. Two of Beth’s proudest moments were delivering a training presentation to senior staff and presenting to the apprenticeship invigilator during her final assessment.
