GP Career+

Pennine GP Alliance offers a fully funded training package coupled with an exciting financially supported opportunity to develop a special interest. This opportunity is designed for newly qualified and returning GP’s to Calderdale (either salaried or partner).

You will have bespoke modules throughout the year which will focus on you, along with the opportunity to influence their content to reflect your needs. These will be a mix of clinical education, group sessions, leadership development, peer support and GP mentorship. GP’s will be supported in the transition to life after GP specialist training.

Those who want to develop a special interest can also apply for further support with placements, roles and funding to take their career to the next level.

Why Calderdale?

Calderdale is a special part of Yorkshire. Rich in history and situated in the heart of the Pennines with quaint villages and urban centres, with tranquil water ways in hidden valleys and lots of great open spaces and stunning countryside. Calderdale is situated between Manchester and Leeds and is an innovative and creative place that is thriving with development and investment of new and old landmarks such as, the Piece Hall. Few places can match the lifestyle that Calderdale has to offer with an abundance of great independent shops, adrenalin sports, fantastic food and drink along with excellent state and independent schools. All of which and more shape Calderdale as a perfect place to form firm foundations and to put down roots in what is a vibrant and progressive location whilst building a new and rewarding career.
