Marcus Beacham is the Director of Operations at Calderdale Local Medical Committee (LMC) and serves as an observing member of the Pennine GP Alliance (PGPA) Board. Since joining the LMC in January 2019, Marcus has played a central role in supporting the development and coordination of the committee, bringing a wealth of experience from senior roles across Local Authority, Public Health Commissioning, and the Third Sector.
In his current role, Marcus leads the LMC Support Team and holds responsibility for business planning, system relationship management, communication, and practice support. He also oversees the key functions associated with the Company Secretary role for the LMC as a Limited Company. Working closely with the Chair and Medical Secretary, Marcus is part of the LMC Executive team, with a particular focus on non-clinical operations.
Marcus brings a strong commitment to collaboration and values-driven leadership. He places particular importance on building effective relationships with key system partners and recognises PGPA as a vital ally in supporting general practice across Calderdale. With a shared ambition to improve outcomes for local practices and patients, Marcus is committed to working in partnership with the PGPA Board to help ensure general practice remains effective, resilient, and patient-centred.
