PGPA Complete over 1,200 Health Checks in Calderdale Workplaces

Pennine GP Alliance (PGPA) is proud to announce the successful completion of our NHS Workplace Health Checks programme, which ran from September 2024 to May 2025. Designed to improve the health and wellbeing of employees across Calderdale, the programme reached a diverse range of workplaces, offering convenient, on-site health checks at no cost to businesses or employees.

Working in partnership with 50 organisations, PGPA’s Health Checks Coordinator completed a total of 1,268 workplace health checks. These checks provided a crucial opportunity for early detection of health risks and direct support for employees in taking charge of their wellbeing.

The impact has been significant:

A special thanks goes to Uttara Krishna, PGPA’s Health Checks Care Coordinator, whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in delivering all the workplace health checks across Calderdale.

Will Menzies, Chief Executive at Pennine GP Alliance, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of the positive impact these health checks have had across Calderdale. By bringing health checks directly into workplaces, we’ve made it easier for busy employees to access potentially life-changing information and support.”

We extend our sincere thanks to the 50 organisations that partnered with us, helping to create healthier, happier workforces and championing staff wellbeing.

As we celebrate the success of this programme, PGPA remains committed to supporting the health of our local communities through accessible and impactful initiatives.
